CM Punk Closes Out Chaotic WWE RAW Main Event

The main event of tonight’s edition of WWE RAW had been built up since the episode of RAW after Survivor Series. The WarGames match ended with Bron Breakker pinning CM Punk to get the win for his side.

Paul Heyman announced that Breakker would challenge Punk for the World Heavyweight Championship on tonight’s episode, and since then, both men have been at each other’s throats.

Two titles had already changed hands on tonight’s episode as CM Punk walked into the main event and looked to defend his championship against Breakker, who had Paul Heyman by his side.

Breakker took control of the match early on and dominated Punk for most of the opening stages of the match. The World Heavyweight Champion was struggling, but Breakker took him out every time he tried to mount a comeback.

The two exchanged blows with each other, and Punk tried to hit the GTS before being distracted by the entirety of The Vision. Breakker pushed Punk into the official, which allowed Theory to hit Punk with the Stomp, but Punk kicked out before three.

He got some help of his own then, as The Vision was taken out by the trio of Rey Mysterio, Penta, and Dragon Lee. Breakker looked to take Punk out with the spear, but crashed into the ringpost. Punk then hit the GTS and the piledriver for the win, but he kicked out at two following both maneuvers.

Breakker then tried to take Punk out with a wicked clothesline, but even he got only a two-count. He tried to hit a GTS of his own, but Punk reversed it into an STF. Heyman then distracted Punk, but was met with a right hand by the voice of the voiceless. Breakker then put the champion through the announce table after he hit him with a flying clothesline.

Bron looked to hit the Spear on Punk, but was met with a knee to the face. He capitalized on a groggy Breakker and hit another GTS to walk away with the win following a gruesome match.
