Seth Rollins took the World Heavyweight Championship from CM Punk within minutes of The Best in the World winning it SummerSlam 2025.

The Visionary pulled off the ruse of the century by pretending to injure his knee during his match against LA Knight at Saturday Night’s Main Event on July 12th, 2025.

He kept up the fake injury ruse by walking around on crutches, and even Becky Lynch uploaded videos of him and their daughter where he was seen in crutches. Everyone believed him.

CM Punk had an excellent reaction to Seth Rollins’ SummerSlam cash-in

At SummerSlam 2025, The Best in the World defeated Gunther to become the new World Heavyweight Champion. However, Seth Rollins arrived at the arena in crutches with Paul Heyman carrying the Money in the Bank briefcase.

To everyone’s shock, he dropped the crutches, ran to the ring, and successfully cashed in against CM Punk. He dethroned him within minutes, and everyone couldn’t believe what just happened!

During a recent episode of What’s Your Story? With Steph McMahon, Nikki Bella, and The Billion Dollar Princess discussed CM Punk’s reaction to the ruse.

“I saw Punk cause I was like, ‘that was so sad'”, said Nikki Bella.

“But he was psyched”, revealed Stephanie McMahon.

“Psyched, yes”, agreed Nikki Bella.

Only a few people knew about Seth Rollins’ ruse, maybe only Paul Heyman, Becky Lynch, and Triple H. Everyone else on the roster was unaware of what was about to happen, and when it did, it became a moment etched in everyone’s memory!
