CM Punk Shockingly Attacked By Female WWE Star At Manchester Live Event

CM Punk upset

CM Punk gets attacked by a female star during a WWE house show.

As part of WWE’s ongoing Road to Clash in Paris tour, the company has hosted events across three major UK arenas this August. On August 23, WWE held a live show at Liverpool’s M&S Bank Arena. The company chose Utilita Arena in Newcastle on August 24 and went to Manchester’s AO Arena on August 26.

Each show featured top stars and built anticipation for the historic Clash In Paris event, energizing the European fans ahead of WWE’s upcoming premium live event in France. On August 28, a six-man tag match saw CM Punk, Sami Zayn, and Penta take on The Judgment Day’s JD McDonagh, Finn Balor, and Dominik Mysterio.

Despite Judgment Day’s repeated attempts to cheat, Punk’s team ultimately emerged victorious. In a stunning twist, the live crowd at the AO Arena in Manchester also saw Roxanne Perez hit her signature Pop Rox on CM Punk during the match, helping her team and shocking fans and commentators.

CM Punk Opens Up About His Current WWE Run

Dramatic returns and heated rivalries have marked CM Punk’s wrestling journey. After leaving WWE in January 2014 and remaining absent from major promotions for over seven years, he made a triumphant comeback on a special episode of AEW Rampage titled The First Dance on August 20, 2021. Punk later returned to WWE at Survivor Series 2023, joining a company now led by Triple H and Nick Khan.

On ESPN’s First Take, the Second City Saint described his current WWE tenure as meeting all his hopes and expectations, emphasizing the significant changes backstage and in storytelling. He reflected on his eventful feud with Drew McIntyre and his ongoing issues with Seth Rollins, noting that while he’s accomplished much, he’s still involved in intense, evolving storylines.

“For me, yeah, I think it’s been everything that I ever thought the WWE could and should be behind the scenes and in front of the camera. That’s a better question to ask fans because ultimately, they’re my boss. They’re our bosses. I think they could agree.”

“I did some pretty spectacular stuff with Drew McIntyre and unfortunately, I’m currently still [dealing with] a thorn in my side, Seth Rollins, involved in that whole vortex. We’re trying to move on from that.”
