In a shocking end to WWE RAW this week, fans saw Jey Uso lose the World Heavyweight Championship. Gunther choked Uso out to win the title and end his 51-day reign. According to former WWE employee Tommy Carlucci, Jey won’t be going after the World Heavyweight Title soon.
On The Coach and Bro Show, Jonathan Coachman and Tommy Carlucci discussed WWE’s decision to end Jey Uso’s championship reign after a short run. According to Carlucci, the company sees Gunther as an old-school heel and someone who can hold the belt well. He also added that the former World Champion may look at teaming up with Jimmy Uso to go after The New Day, who took shots at him.
“I don’t think Jey is going to chase him [Gunther] for a while. I actually, if yous saw the end of the show, The New Day were crapping all over Jey. ‘Oh, he had it 6 weeks, I had it 6 months. ‘ Is it going to be Jey and Jimmy getting back together to tag team and go against them? Jey Uso May Get Another Shot At The Title At SummerSlam
This week, WWE kicked off its King Of The Ring Tournament. The finals of the tournament will take place at the Night of Champions PLE later this month. The Superstar crowned the King Of The Ring will get a world championship opportunity at SummerSlam.
The tournament bracket was revealed on WWE RAW. Many top names were involved; however, one match showed a mystery participant. After Jey Uso lost his World Heavyweight Championship, he was revealed as the mystery competitor. Uso will have to win his Fatal Fourway match that involves Rusev, Sheamus, and Bronson Reed to progress to the semi-finals.
