Surprising Claim Made About Shawn Michaels & Vince McMahon’s Alleged Affair

A former WWE star hasn’t ruled out the possibility that claims of an affair between Shawn Michaels and Vince McMahon are true.

Bret Hart recently made headlines when he claimed Shawn Michaels and Vince McMahon had been involved in an affair. Hart used that as the rationale for why Michaels climbed to the top of WWE and had McMahon’s backing, which led to the infamous Montreal Screwjob in 1997.

WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross dismissed Hart’s claim and thinks he was just looking for attention. However, another ex-WWE star thinks there could be smoke to the fire.

Shawn Michaels & Vince McMahon Rumours Could Just Be Jealousy

Speaking on the Cafe de Rene podcast, former WWE Tag Team Champion Rene Dupree admitted that Hart’s comments were not the first time he had heard the rumours about Shawn Michaels and Vince McMahon:

I can’t say anything bad about Shawn Michaels. He always treated me f***ing great. He was always very nice to me and very helpful to me. But this is not the first that I have heard of this.

Then of course the infamous Honky Tonk Man… He goes, ‘And Shawn, if you weren’t Vince’s boy toy, you’d be gone and you know that. Everybody knows it.’ Then again it’s the wrestling business and you believe in nothing that you hear and three quarters of what you see. and it could be just bitterness. It could just jealousy but who knows, maybe where there’s flames there’s fire.
