An AEW star who’s getting a lot of crowd support has issued a challenge to TNT Champion Christian Cage.
It is well known by AEW fans that TNT Champion Christian Cage has been targeted by former TNT Champion Adam Copeland, but he’s not the only one.
In the main event of AEW Collision on February 3rd in Edinburg, Texas, the trio of FTR (Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler) and Daniel Garcia defeated The Patriarchy (TNT Champion Christian Cage, Killswitch & Nick Wayne) in the main event. Garcia got the win over Wayne.
After the show, Garcia did a promo saying he wanted Cage to give him a TNT Championship match.
“Christian Cage is one of the most narcissistic, disgusting, manipulative people I’ve ever met in my life. Christian Cage is a man-child.”
“Christian Cage, I can’t think of a better way to put you in your place than taking what means most to you. That’s not Nick Wayne, that’s not Killswitch, that’s not Shayna, it is your TNT title and these people here, I know they love the little dance that I like to do. And I just think that dance will look a whole hell of a lot better with some gold around my waist.”
The promo by Garcia after Collision was posted on AEW’s YouTube channel as well.
How Long Has Christian Cage Been TNT Champion?
Christian Cage is a two-time TNT Champion. He first won the title on September 23, 2023, held the title for 89 days and lost it to Adam Copeland at the AEW Worlds End PPV.
Immediately after the match, Christian’s ally Killswitch (formerly Luchasaurus) attacked Copeland and Killswitch earned a TNT Title match earlier in the night. Christian used Killswitch’s title opportunity to manipulate Killswitch into giving it to Christian and that led to Christian winning the title back on that same night.
That means Christian has held the TNT Title for about four months during his two reigns.
