Christian Cage Viciously Laid Out In AEW Dynamite Return

Christian Cage just can’t catch a break as he suffered a familiar fate when he returned to AEW Dynamite.

At All In Texas, The Patriarchy finally turned its back on Christian Cage. Nick Wayne, Kip Sabian, and Shayna Wayne attacked Cage after he and Wayne failed to win the AEW World Tag Team Championship.

A sickening con-chair-to was about to be delivered when Cage’s old tag team partner Adam Copeland made the save. Copeland later explained that he was going after FTR, who were watching the attack unfold, and saving Cage, who famously told Copeland “Go f*ck yourself”, was not at the top of his to-do list.

Christian Cage Disowns His Family

Now, on the July 30th edition of Dynamite, Christian Cage was back, and he had a message of his own to send, beginning with admitting that he is an “a**hole.” He ran down Nick, Shayna, and Kip Sabian, claiming he went against their plan for him to become AEW World Champion because he didn’t think they could see it through for him. Cage then officially disowned the group.

Cage also discussed Copeland, questioning if the things he said to his old friend were that bad, as the Rated-R Superstar understands the game within the game, further hinting that the two will be back together before long.

Christian Cage then made his exit up the ramp before he was confronted by Shayna Wayne. Wayne tried to slap Cage, but was blocked before Cage spotted Kip Sabian trying a sneak attack. While Cage dealt with him, Nick Wayne clocked Cage with the ROH TV Title. Nick Wayne and Kip Sabian then hit a classic, standing con-chair-to to Cage, leaving him lying in a heap.
