Christian Cage Crashes AEW Revolution Main Event

Revolution was headlined by Jon Moxley defending his AEW World Title against Adam Copeland but Christian Cage had other ideas.

Ever since Jon Moxley captured the AEW World Championship for the fourth time he has held the title hostage from the rest of the company. Backed by the Death Riders, Moxley has looked untouchable but his luck might have run out when he was faced with Adam Copeland at Revolution.

Thanks to help from the AEW roster, most notably Jay White, Copeland has taken out the Death Riders PAC and Claudio Castagnoli in recent weeks while leaving Wheeler Yuta to fight another day. Yuta teased leaving Moxley altogether as Copeland’s mind games took hold.

At Revolution, however, there was another man that Jon Moxley and Adam Copeland had to contend with in the form of Christian Cage.

Christian Cage Cashes In At AEW Revolution

During the show’s main event, Copeland nailed Moxley with a spear and looked to have the match won before a hooded figure pulled the referee from the ring. That figure turned out to be Christian Cage and he nailed his former tag team partner with the metal case containing his contract for an AEW World Title shot.

Cage then signed the contract inserting himself into the bout but after he nailed a Killswitch on Cope, Jon Moxley managed to lock Cage in a bulldog choke which eventually caused him to pass out with the AEW World Champion retaining his title.
