Christian Cage Names Major AEW Goal That Doesn’t Need Adam Copeland
Christian Cage might have reunited with Adam Copeland in AEW, but it seems he’s still only out for himself.
At All In Texas, Christian Cage was unceremoniously kicked out of The Patriarchy as the rest of the group got tired of his incessant insults. This led to Adam Copeland making his huge return to AEW as he urged his one-time best friend to find himself.
Christian Cage’s journey of discovery proved to be a short one as he found he was perfect just the way he was. Despite their obvious differences, Cage and Cope rolled back the years to defeat Kip Sabian and Killswitch at Forbidden Door.
They will team again at All Out in their hometown of Toronto, where they will do battle with FTR. But despite a return to the tag team ranks, Cage is still looking out for number one.
Christian Cage Wants Solo AEW Gold
Speaking to Yahoo Sports Uncrowned, Christian Cage spelt out his ambitions for his career and said he still wants to become AEW World Champion:
Cope and I agreed to help each other with our issues. Part of the agreement was we’ll get through this, and there’s no promises beyond that.
We’ll see where we get to at the end of this. For me as well, at the end of the day, I love collecting titles, I love collecting gold. So in any form of that, I’ll always welcome, always accept that challenge.
But at the end of the day, I still want my name in the books as the AEW world champ by the time it’s all said and done.
Christian Cage has challenged for the AEW World Championship three times during his run in the company, but failed on each occasion to win the gold.
