Chris Jericho’s AEW Status Following WWE Raw No-Show

Chris Jericho

What exactly is going on with Chris Jericho, and is he still part of the AEW roster?

The last time Chris Jericho was seen in AEW was all the way back at Dynasty in April 2025, when he lost the ROH World Championship to Bandido. As Jericho’s absence from the company extended past the summer, questions started to be asked about his future in Tony Khan’s company.

It soon became clear that many people expected Jericho to make a jump back to WWE when his AEW deal expired at the end of 2025. Raw General Manager Adam Pearce went as far as to tease an appearance of Jericho on the first Raw of 2026, but that came and went without a sighting.

So what is going on?

Chris Jericho Leaves More Questions Than Answers

Fightful Select has reported that, according to WWE sources, Chris Jericho has not been brought up as part of creative as of yet, and there were no internal plans that had been seen that suggested Jericho was due to be on Raw.

On the AEW side of things, it was noted that there is no indication whether Jericho’s deal has been extended or frozen. The biggest clue comes from AEW’s roster page on its website, where Chris Jericho is still listed. It was also mentioned that an internal memo went out in AEW about three names leaving the company, but Jericho was not among them. AEW is very careful about its roster page, and the three departing stars were all removed.

AEW is said to still have a great relationship with Chris Jericho, but there was a strong awareness in the company that the audience had grown tired of him. That is said to have led to his absence from AEW TV for eight months. Whether he ever returns to it remains to be seen.
