Chris Jericho Vows To Leave AEW
AEW fans might not see Chris Jericho for a little while.
At AEW Dynasty, Chris Jericho lost the ROH World Championship to Bandido in somewhat strange circumstances.
With the referee distracted, Jericho blasted Bandido with his baseball bat and stole the win, but his joy was short-lived.
At ringside, Bandido’s mother and sister remonstrated with Aubrey Edwards (Not the match official) and told her Jericho had used the bat to win. This sparked a conversation between Edwards, match official Bryce Remsburg, and Justin Roberts and the match restarted.
Jericho grabbed Bandido’s sister by the hair but she slapped him, enabling her brother to get the upper hand. Bandido then hit his reverse GTS and 21-Plex to win the World Championship.
Chris Jericho Is Walking Away
On the April 9 edition of Dynamite, Jericho addressed his defeat and where it leaves The Learning Tree. Bryan Keith and Big Bill also tasted defeat at the event as they failed to win the World Tag Team Titles.
After bringing out Bill and Keith things quickly got tense. Bill said he and Keith are with Jericho to learn, but not be his punching bag when things go wrong. Jericho responded by commenting on the potential he saw in the pair, but he’s disappointed they weren’t there for him at Dynasty.
He added that some people might say his losing the ROH World Title was their fault, but he wouldn’t. Jericho did however say he was not angry, just disappointed. The veteran then took his baseball bat to the set, smashing a TV and screaming that he was disappointed.
Jericho told Keith and Bill that until things change, it’s best he leave.
