Chris Jericho Stable Success Questioned By AEW Star

AEW Chris Jericho Bryan Keith Big Bill

Chris Jericho’s leadership skills have been questioned by an AEW wrestler.

When Chris Jericho was a WWE superstar for nearly 20 years he wasn’t known as a wrestler that was a part of stables. Even though plenty of groups existed during his run there, he stayed away from them and was his own man.

When AEW launched in 2019, Chris Jericho quickly established himself as the leader of a new group called The Inner Circle. They were formed on the first episode of Dynamite in October 2019 with Jake Hager, Santana, Ortiz & Sammy Guevera as part of the group that were by Jericho’s side during his only reign as AEW World Champion.

After The Inner Circle group ended, Jericho formed the Jericho Appreciation Society which had even more members in the group.

In 2024, Jericho went through another character change to become “The Learning Tree” while leading a group with Big Bill and Bryan Keith. There have been instances where Jericho made comments about using people, which has led to Big Bill staring at him, so it’s certainly a tease of what’s coming in the future.

Brody King is a member of the House of Black group in AEW who recently spoke to Bill Apter of Sportskeeda about how he sees Big Bill as a breakout star while also taking a shot at Jericho’s leadership skills.

“It’s very deceiving. I feel like he (Jericho) has this…he wants to give back to the young guys, and he wants to mentor people, but as the JAS showed, I don’t know if that is always the most trustworthy person to take under his lead. It seems like everyone that joins some iteration of a Jericho group ends up getting left in the dust, whether it be the Inner Circle or the JAS.”

“So I think Big Bill is a phenomenal talent. I think he is someone that can really break out and really stand on his own, so I hope that Bill sees that and keeps himself protected. Bryan Keith is no slouch, either. I hope that he doesn’t see this as just an opportunity to get on TV. I hope that he sees this for what it is and also keeps himself protected.”

Chris Jericho Attempting To Win Back The ROH World Title

In addition to winning the AEW World Title in his career, Chris Jericho is also a former ROH World Champion as well. At AEW WrestleDream last weekend, Jericho lost in his attempt to win the ROH World Title from Mark Briscoe, who beat Jericho with the Jay Driller that Mark’s late brother Jay Briscoe used.

The good news for Jericho is that he’ll get another shot at Mark Briscoe for the ROH World Title on the October 23rd episode of Dynamite in what will be a Ladder War match.
