As his contract nears expiration, rumors about his next career move, including a possible return to WWE, have been gaining traction among wrestling fans and insiders.

Booker T Weighs In on Jericho’s Rumored WWE Return

On his Hall of Fame podcast, wrestling legend Booker T shared his thoughts about Chris Jericho possibly returning to WWE. Booker believes Y2J will make that move because he is an “OG” who naturally fits into WWE’s style and culture. According to Booker, Jericho’s experience and charisma make him a perfect fit for WWE, where he can continue to shine and contribute meaningfully.

“People were talking about it, people talking about Jericho coming back, you know. Does Jericho fit into WWE right now? Yeah, I mean, look, to me, it’s like Chris Jericho — he’s like Edge or Christian. They’ll always fit in. He’s an original, he’s an OG, you know what I mean? So yeah, I could definitely see Chris Jericho coming back.” [H/T to Ringside News]

Dave Meltzer Thinks Chris Jericho Should Return To WWE

Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer analyzed Chris Jericho’s situation and why heading back to WWE could be the best option for him right now. Meltzer noted that The Ayatollah of Rock ‘N’ Rolla has faced several challenges in AEW recently, including creative and backstage issues.

Returning to WWE could provide Jericho with a fresh start and help him address these problems while revitalizing his career in a familiar environment.

Jericho’s actually a really big story. His contract’s up at the end of the year, and there’s certainly been lots and lots of talk about WWE. I know from a WWE standpoint that there is lots of talk there about Jericho. People are speculating about the Royal Rumble. Nobody has officially said anything, nor will anyone officially say anything. From a timing standpoint – all things being equal from Jericho’s standpoint, it’s time to go to WWE.

The stuff that has been plaguing him, like fan response, he goes to WWE…a guy that goes from AEW to WWE is going to be over like crazy. It’s new again, so from that standpoint, especially for a guy that’s always looking to revitalise his career, it’s the move.
