Chris Jericho Set For AEW Stampede Street Fight

Chris Jericho AEW

Chris Jericho is heading to the Calgary Stampede but he’s going to have a huge fight on his hands on AEW Dynamite.

For weeks now Chris Jericho has been trying to show the rest of the roster in AEW that he is the man to listen to as The Learning Tree. Big Bill and Bryan Keith have taken Jericho’s advice to heart and teamed up with the FTW Champion but there are plenty of people sick of Jericho’s unwanted advice – chief among them are HOOK, Katsuyori Shibata, and Samoa Joe.

At Forbidden Door, Jericho replaced Keith with NJPW World Television Champion Jeff Cobb for a six-man tag team match with Joe, HOOK, and Shibata picking up the win.

Jericho, Keith, and Bill attacked the trio on the 3rd of July edition of Dynamite after they defeated The Cage of Agony in a trios match. Later in the show, Jericho delved into his bag of tricks as he threw a fireball in HOOK’s face.

Chris Jericho Will Face Samoa Joe

Now AEW has confirmed that Chris Jericho will be part of a Stampede Street Fight when Dynamite takes place in Calgary, Alberta, Canada against Samoa Joe. The show will also see the winners of both Owen Hart Foundation Tournaments crowned.

Joe holds two singles victories over Jericho from their time together in WWE with the last of those coming on the 17th of April 2017 edition of Raw.
