Chris Jericho Reaches New Low On AEW Dynamite

Chris Jericho has reached a new low in AEW as he goaded one star into facing him at WrestleDream by talking about their dead brother.

Chris Jericho has condescendingly led his Learning Tree for months now in AEW but recent success has been hard to come by after he lost the FTW Championship to HOOK.

Now Jericho has set his sights on different gold as The Learning Tree has been in conflict with The Conglomeration in recent weeks. Jericho pinned ROH World Champion Mark Briscoe in a chaotic tornado tag team match on Collision Grand Slam and as a result wanted a shot at Briscoe’s gold.

Chris Jericho Mentions Jay Briscoe On AEW Dynamite

On Dynamite in Pittsburgh, Jericho challenged Briscoe and it seemed like the match was made for WrestleDream but not before Jericho took the low road.

Chris Jericho told Mark Briscoe that he couldn’t beat him but thought that perhaps Mark’s late brother Jay Briscoe could have. Jericho doubled down telling Mark that he’ll never be as good as Jay was which led to Mark Briscoe socking Jericho in the mouth and reminding his challenger that the word of the day is ‘consequential.’

Jay Briscoe was tragically killed in a car accident in January 2023 at the age of just 38. The Briscoe Brothers were the reigning ROH Tag Team Champions at the time of Briscoe’s death.
