Chris Jericho Rampages At AEW Media Scrum
Media scrums and AEW have not always mixed well after pay-per-views and this time it was Chris Jericho causing problems as he laid down a challenge to Sting.
The most infamous media scrum in AEW history came after All Out in 2022 when CM Punk went off on a tirade against members of the wrestling media and several of his co-workers while Tony Khan sitting next to him could only look on.
That led to the backstage fight between The Elite and CM Punk which saw everyone involved suspended with the ramifications still being felt in the company even after Punk’s return.

Now following Forbidden Door, Tony Khan was sitting with Sting and Darby Allin after the pair teamed with Tetsuya Naito to defeat Chris Jericho, Sammy Guevara, and Minoru Suzuki when Jericho decided he wanted to lay down another challenge.
Jericho launched into a rant at Sting – all in character – before challenging Sting and Allin to a no disqualification tornado tag team match. Chris Jericho then picked up a water bottle and hit it with his baseball bat into the assembled media sitting in the room. Although any intent to hit anyone appeared to be accidental.
Denise Salcedo shared a clip of the incident on social media and noted that Jericho actually drew blood when he hit someone with the water bottle.
BRO THAT WATER BOTTLE FLEW RIGHT INTO THE GUY NEXT TO ME…. He’s actually bleeding a lil bit … he says he’s okay. A match was made! #ForbiddenDoorpic.twitter.com/VpyLQL1AYe

A frustrated Tony Khan told Jericho that his actions were unacceptable as he implored him to leave but did book the match for Wednesday night on Dynamite.
