Chris Jericho Makes Substantial Donation To Damar Hamlin’s Charity After The NFL Star Suffered A Cardiac Arrest Mid-Game
Chris Jericho has made a large donation to Damar Hamlin’s charity following the NFL star’s on-field collapse.
During the Monday Night Football clash between the Buffalo Bills and Cincinnati Bengals, Damar Hamlin collapsed after tackling Bengals receiver Tee Higgins. It appeared that Higgins’ helmet hit Hamlin in the chest, but after briefly getting to his feet the star collapsed to the ground.
Hamlin received treatment on the field for more than 30 minutes before being taken to hospital. After a delay the decision was eventually taken to suspend the game.
In a statement released by the Bills after the incident the organisation confirmed that Hamlin had suffered a cardiac arrest.
Following the incident donations to Hamlin’s charity soared. The Chasing M’s Foundation Community Toy Drive located in Mckees Rocks, PA, which aims to provide toys for underprivileged kids saw an influx of donations on it’s GoFundMe Page as Hamlin remains in hospital. Among the donors was AEW star Chris Jericho, who donated $5,000 but misspelled his name, he then repeated the donation to bring up a total of $10,000.
