Chris Jericho Faces Ladder War On AEW Dynamite

Chris Jericho

Chris Jericho continues to sink to new depths in his quest to become a champion again but now he may have got more than he bargained for with war on the horizon.

As a result of The Learning Tree’s recent battles with The Conglomeration, Chris Jericho set his sights on Mark Briscoe and the ROH World Championship in recent weeks with Jericho sinking to new lows, even for him.

Chris Jericho goaded Mark Briscoe by mentioning his late brother Jay Briscoe in a promo ahead of their bout for the ROH World Title at WrestleDream. During that match, Jericho looked to rub salt in the wounds as he looked to win the gold with Jay’s patented Jay Driller but that only fired Mark Briscoe up. Briscoe used the move himself to win the bout and retain his ROH World Title but it seems things are far from settled between the two.

Chris Jericho Gets Another ROH Title Shot

On Dynamite in San Jose, a backstage interview aired where Jericho claimed Briscoe cheated to win and vowed to become a two-time ROH World Champion – just like Jay Briscoe.

Mark Briscoe responded in an interview of his own, incensed that Jericho had mentioned his late brother once again. Briscoe accepted the challenge and told Jericho that on the October 23rd edition of Dynamite, they would clash for the ROH World Title in a Ladder War.

The 23rd of October edition of Dynamite will also see Daniel Garcia team with Private Party to take on The Elite’s Jack Perry and The Young Bucks.
