Chris Jericho has been praised by Big Bill for having a positive impact on his career growth.

The 53 year-old Canadian star has embarked on a near 35 year career that has spanned the globe and continues to reinvent himself to remain relevant, most recently as the leader of the villainous stable ‘The Learning Tree’ in AEW.

Jericho heads up a trio including Bryan Keith and Big Bill, formerly know as Big Cass during a seven year WWE run that saw him rise to prominence in an entertaining tag team with Enzo Amore.

Big BIll has featured in AEW since 2022, capturing the AEW Tag Team Championship with Ricky Starks during that period, however he has enjoyed a more prominent position since joining Jericho’s group on the 1st May 2024 edition of AEW Dynamite.

Bill had nothing but praise for Jericho during a recent appearance on Rasslin’, revealing that Jericho had been influential on his increased confidence and belief in his own instincts:

“I got to work with him pretty quickly when I was in WWE. When I came back to AEW, I wanted to work with him, or work a program with him, work on his team, and then when he pitched this to me, I was like, yeah, this is great. So it’s constantly asking him for advice.

Not just about wrestling, either. About life and stuff like that, and he’s always got really, really good advice. The one thing that he’s helped me with maybe the most is confidence. I feel like since I started with Chris, my confidence has started to get higher and higher, which can probably be seen on the screen.

Working with Chris, I know now my instincts are good, and I am good, and he’s constantly reinforcing that for me.”

Chris Jericho Taps Out In Mexico

Despite his advancing years, Jericho remains a popular in-ring draw around the globe and recently headlined CMLL 91 Aniversario show in Mexico City. The appearance marked Jericho’s first arena bout in Mexico since 1995.

Things didn’t go as planned for the former AEW Champion, however, with Jericho losing by submission to local favourite Mistico.
