Chris Jericho Guarantees Indy Star Spot On AEW’s London Show

Chris Jericho has guaranteed a shining star on the independent scene will have a spot on the card when AEW debuts in London later in 2023.

Back in November 2022, it was announced that AEW will be debuting in the United Kingdom for the very first time with the company coming to London, England. No firm dates or locations have since been announced but many believe Tony Khan will want to bring his worlds together and have AEW put on a show at Craven Cottage – the home to the Khan family’s Fulham Football Club.

While there are still more questions than answers in relation to AEW crossing the pond, at least one person knows they will have a place on the show thanks to former AEW World Champion Chris Jericho.

Chris Jericho was speaking to London-based independent star Michael Oku on the Talk Is Jericho podcast, where he noted that he’d love to be part of AEW when it comes to England’s capital:

“In terms of other places to wrestle, I’ll just go ahead and say it. AEW is coming to London, I’m a London wrestler and I’m trying everything in my power to see if I can get some type of opportunity there. If the stars align, that would be a cool place to say that I wrestled at. At this point, I think anything is possible. Hopefully this year or next year, I’d like to wrestle for New Japan in Japan.”

Chris Jericho then indicated that getting him some sort of role on an AEW show in London would not be a problem:

“So are you talking about AEW in London, doing like a Dark match or a Elevation match or something like that? Because you got that, that’s easy. You’ll be on the show for sure, no problem, I’ll guarantee you that. I’ll guarantee it, no problem at all. That’s easy to do. Done. Done deal.”
