Chris Jericho Forced To Go Double Or Nothing At AEW PPV
Chris Jericho knew he’d have a tough test at AEW Double Or Nothing no matter what but has the FTW Champion now gotten more than he bargained for?
Chris Jericho captured the FTW Championship from HOOK at AEW Dynasty but the young star is not shying away from trying to get the title he previously held for a combined 595 days back.
However, Chris Jericho told HOOK he’d have to earn any shot at the gold and a contender series then took place to find Jericho’s next challenger. HOOK was part of that series and defeated Johnny TV, while Katsuyori Shibata staked his claim for a shot at the gold with a win over Rocky Romero and Bryan Keith emerged as a surprise contender when he defeated Boulder.
Chris Jericho Faces Three-Way At Double Or Nothing
That led to HOOK, Shibata, and Keith slugging it out in a three-way match on Dynamite in Bakersfield with the winner getting a shot at Chris Jericho and the FTW Title at Double Or Nothing.
The match proved to be bad news for Bryan Keith who was locked in Shibata’s Figure Four and HOOK’s Red Rum simultaneously, leaving him with no choice but to tap out. The referee declared that both Shibata and HOOK had won with Chris Jericho quickly and dripping with insincerity, accepting a three-way match for Double Or Nothing where he’ll defend his gold against both HOOK and Shibata.
