Chris Jericho Does What AEW Tells Him
Chris Jericho has dismissed claims that he demands to be on AEW television.
Jericho has been a key figure for All Elite Wrestling since joining the company in 2019, becoming the promotion’s inaugural World Champion with victory over Adam Page at All Out on 31st August of that year.
The legendary 54 year-old star has played a major role in helping the growth of the promotion, adding much needed star power as Tony Khan’s organisation looked to make it’s mark in the world of professional wrestling.
Despite his advancing years, Jericho remains a regular feature on AEW programming with recent speculation suggesting that his continued on-screen presence is as a result of demands from the former Undisputed WWE Champion.
Speaking during a recent interview with Chris Van Vliet, the Canadian star dismissed any claims that he insisted upon television time from the company, noting instead that he merely follows what he is asked to do:
“I always laugh when people say, ‘Do you still love it?’ If I didn’t love it, I wouldn’t do it. I’m not doing it for money at this point. It’s the creative fulfillment, there’s a challenge.
Contrary to popular belief, I don’t demand to be on every show every week. My boss books me for shows because of what I bring to the table.
I’m still enjoying it and still really working on how can we make things better and how can we do more storylines and what can I do this week that was different from last week. I do love wrestling still.”
Chris Jericho Issues Bold AEW Ticket Sales Claim
Chris Jericho believes AEW will attract over 25,000 fans when All In emanates from Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas on 12th July 2025.
The company has hosted the last two editions of the annual show at London’s Wembley Stadium, drawing huge attendances for events that have been successfully both critically and commercially.
Despite sluggish early ticket sales for the 2025 show, Jericho remains confident that AEW fans will pack out the venue.
