Chris Jericho’s Recent Dig At AEW Rejected By Wrestling Legend
Chris Jericho made an interesting claim against AEW that a legendary wrestler disagrees with.
The last time Chris Jericho appeared on AEW television was over seven months ago in early April. Since then, the former AEW World Champion and ROH World Champion has been kept off television, with no signs of a return anytime soon.
The 55-year-old Chris Jericho remains under contract with AEW, but his deal apparently ends at the end of 2025, and there are rumors that he wants to return “home’ to WWE.
There has also been a lot of discussion within WWE about a Chris Jericho return to the ring, which would likely lead to a Hall of Fame induction for one of the greatest WWE superstars of all time.
As a sign that he may be ready to move on from AEW, Chris Jericho stated that TNA Bound for Glory’s crowd made TNA look like the second-biggest wrestling company rather than AEW. Jericho also mentioned AEW running small buildings for some recent TV shows. However, AEW draws bigger crowds most weeks, more people watch at home, and more people watch the PPVs.
Since TNA has a working relationship with WWE, many people took Jericho’s comments as a sign that he’s on team WWE at this point.
Ric Flair Reacts To Chris Jericho’s Anti-AEW Remarks
When two-time WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair was asked by Casino Beats about Jericho’s TNA-AEW remark, the AEW contracted Flair made it clear he disagreed.
“Oh, I like AEW much more than TNA. I don’t know much about TNA because I haven’t seen it. AEW has some really great performers.”
Chris Jericho turned 55 years old earlier this month and has made it clear he’s in great shape by posting a mirror selfie.
