Chilling Details Revealed In Liv Morgan Stalker Case

Liv Morgan WWE

A man left a handwritten note at Liv Morgan’s home after trying to break into the residence.

On June 3, an individual was arrested at the WWE Performance Center following claims they had been stalking Liv Morgan. The incident was initially confused with another arrest at the facility on the same day, relating to an outstanding burglary warrant.

Once the dust had settled, it was confirmed that the FBI was investigating the incident involving Morgan.

A new report from The Independent has now revealed details from the newly unsealed probable cause affidavit created by the agency.

While the document doesn’t name Morgan by name, the details match the reporting relating to the arrest of 41-year-old Shawn Chan. The Scarborough, Ontario, resident obtained a passport in May and immediately flew to Orlando, Florida, where Morgan lives and trains.

On May 26, Chan boarded a flight to Orlando while telling customs officials that he’d be staying at the WWE Performance Center. This is despite the facility not having any rooms for such an overnight stay.

Four days after arriving in the city, Chan travelled to a house matching the description of Morgan’s. Once there, he was captured on surveillance footage circling the property twice before entering the porch and checking under a doormat. It’s presumed he was looking for a spare key.

According to the affidavit, he then touched the bottom of the front door and swiped the locking mechanism with his hand several times. He’s then seen learning on the door while pulling the handle in an effort to open it.

Chan then “retrieved a long air rifle pellet gun from the front porch wall, which… had [been] left outside of the Residence,” the affidavit states. “The air rifle is a Sig Sauer MCX .177 air rifle capable of firing metal pellets at 600 feet per second. Chan can be seen sitting on the front porch with the pellet gun before standing and walking to the front door.”

After remaining at the property for a further two hours, Chan left a note near some packages. In the note, he mentioned “being wronged by members of an online gaming community.” The note went on to say, “I came here to pay just a friendly visit, nothing more… Yea, I just wanted to let you know that I was here.”

The note included Chan’s home address.

On June 3, Chan visited the WWE Performance Center, where he was recognised by security staff from the surveillance footage. It was here that he was arrested.

At the time, Chan was carrying two bottles of liquid with Chinese writing on the labels, and when questioned, he stated they were used to treat injuries “such as bleeding.”

According to the affidavit, Morgan later confirmed that she didn’t know Chan and had been out of town when he travelled to her home.

“She expressed concern that her home address was known to the public and that two other individuals had shown up to her residence without invitation or notice. The victim explained she does not bring fan mail into the house because of the number of concerning messages she receives.”

Chan’s arraignment on a charge of interstate domestic violence has been set for July 18, where he’ll appear at Orlando federal court. If found guilty, Chan faces up to five years in prison.

Liv Morgan Begins WWE Absence

In recent days, Liv Morgan underwent shoulder surgery after suffering a significant injury during a match against Kairi Sane on June 16. Morgan suffered the injury just two minutes into the match while taking a routine bump in the ring.

Although there were initially hopes that the Women’s Tag Team Champion would be able to avoid going under the knife, those hopes were quickly extinguished.

Despite no official comment on a timeline for her recovery from Morgan or WWE, she’s expected to be out for around six months.
