Chelsea Green is flying high.

On November 8th, 2024, SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis announced the creation of the Women’s United States Title. Fans and even WWE Superstars themselves have been calling on the company to introduce more singles women’s titles and they finally got their wish.

During a month-long tournament, Chelsea Green defeated Bianca Belair and Blair Davenport in Triple Threat action, and the Bayley in the semi-finals.

Meanwhile, Michin got past Lash Legend and Piper Niven before seeing off Tiffany Stratton to set up the final at Saturday Night’s Main Event.

For many, the fact the final was between Green and Michin was a fitting conclusion for the tournament. Both women impressed throughout and shone after being given the chance to show off their skills as singles performers.

After a back-and-forth match that featured interference from Piper Niven on behalf of Green, it was the former Tag Team Champion who got the win. Green countered Michin in the corner before smoothly working into a position to hit her Un-Pretty-Her to claim victory.

Green celebrated with Niven in the ring after the match while the wrestling world saluted the win on social media.

Elsewhere on the show, Triple H got into a physical confrontation with Kevin Owens after KO attacked Cody Rhodes after the show went off the air.
