Chelsea Green Responds To Fans Criticizing Her Hulk Hogan Comments

Chelsea Green made a statement on social media after wrestling fans got mad at her about what she didn’t say with regards to Hulk Hogan.

Hulk Hogan is a two-time WWE Hall of Famer who passed away on July 24th due to cardiac arrest. As a wrestler, Hogan is one of the biggest names in the history of the business and someone that many people think highly of due to his legacy in pro wrestling.

There are also many people who don’t like Hulk Hogan due to the racist comments that he made in the past and the way he didn’t seem to show remorse for those comments. Hulk Hogan’s political views, as a Donald Trump supporter, also led to considerable criticism, as Americans remain divided as ever on political issues.

Following Hogan’s death, many people within wrestling were interviewed about him, including WWE superstar Chelsea Green, who is the first ever Women’s US Champion.

During an interview with CBS News 24/7, Chelsea Green spoke positively about Hogan, discussing his legacy as a pro wrestling legend. She also talked about personal interactions, as well as the way he inspired her wrestler husband, Matt Cardona.

Chelsea Green Apologizes To Fans

The controversies surrounding Hulk Hogan were not discussed during Chelsea Green’s interview, prompting fans to attack Chelsea Green online about it. Since Green is very active on social media and takes a lot of pride in entertaining her fans, she issued a statement regarding what she said about Hogan.

“A significant part of my role at @WWE involves engaging w the public & responding to questions, often on live platforms. Yesterday, I was asked to comment on Hulk Hogan on live tv. Let me be clear: my stance on racism is unwavering. I do not condone it—period. If my response (or tweet) seemed dismissive of real concerns, I sincerely apologize. That was never my intention. I tried to acknowledge a death respectfully, even when the legacy is complicated. I am learning one day at a time and will continue to learn.

Chelsea Green lost to Nikki Bella on the July 14th edition of WWE Monday Night Raw. Green is normally a member of the SmackDown roster, where she leads her “Secret Hervice” team of Piper Niven and Alba Fyre.
