Chelsea Green Questioned WWE In-Ring Future Following Multiple Injuries

Chelsea Green

Chelsea Green nearly stepped away from wrestling altogether.

The Women’s Tag Team Champion made the surprise return to WWE at the 2023 Royal Rumble, entering the match after not being announced ahead of time. Despite not winning the Battle Royal, Green continued her quest for gold, finally winning her first title in the company alongside Sonya Deville.

With Deville now out with an injury until further notice, Green was also asked about her experiences of being sidelined while appearing on the After the Bell podcast.

Green there were times early in her career that the thought of giving up in-ring competition did enter her head

No, but I will say the injuries have definitely made me second-guess it. I think I broke my nose in the ring on week three, which also led me to have cheek fractures. And then I broke my collarbone in India on my first kind of tour away from home. I was in Japan, got sent to India, I broke it live on a show in front of about 70,000 people. And then from there, obviously the WWE Universe knows about my, my little wrist that just kept breaking.

So those are the only moments that really make me question, you know, my longevity and, and what do I want out of this in terms of, I want to be able to hold my kids. You know, I want that for myself. I want to be able to walk and run and play. And so those are the only moments that I’ve sat in bed thinking, what the heck did I get myself into?

Who Is WWE Superstar Chelsea Green Married To?

Chelsea Green is married to former Intercontinental Champion Zack Ryder, who is now known as Matt Cardona on the independent scene. The Indie God did recently pay a visit to Monday Night Raw, being in attendance for his wife’s title victory.
