Chelsea Green Plans Pulled From Departing WWE Star

One star who is on their way out of WWE has revealed that a feud with Chelsea Green was scrapped months before their exit was confirmed.

WWE recently released several main roster stars, including Braun Strowman, Dakota Kai, and Shayna Baszler. These were followed by departures from the NXT roster with the likes of Cora Jade, Gallus, and Dani Palmer all let go.

Following that news, it soon emerged that Shotzi was not having her WWE contract renewed, and it seems the writing had been on the wall for her for some time.

Chelsea Green Plans Pulled From Shotzi

Speaking on Busted Open Radio, Shotzi revealed that she was meant to feud with Chelsea Green, but WWE quickly abandoned that plan, which led to her cutting a promo on social media about her future just before her exit was confirmed:

I was told ‘You’re going to start a storyline with Chelsea (Green)’. Which I was all for, Chelsea is super great. They bring me into SmackDown, they’re like, rehearsing my entrance on the tron, and then they cut it. And then it was like week after week, nothing and nothing.

Then I started to wonder, like ‘My contract’s up in a few months, what is going on?’ and nobody had answers for me. That’s finally when I was like ‘I’m gonna cut this promo, and I’m gonna get some answers by cutting this promo.

Chelsea Green is currently in mourning after losing her WWE Women’s United States Championship to Zelina Vega.
