Chelsea Green Shares Painful Injury Update After SNME
Chelsea Green suffered an injury at Saturday Night’s Main Event.
Back in December, Chelsea Green became the first-ever Women’s United States Champion at the relaunched Saturday Night’s Main Event. However, she endured a much more painful night on the May 24 edition of the special.
Since losing the title to Zelina Vega in April, Green has been on a mission to win it back, setting up a rematch at Saturday Night’s Main Event.
During the match, Vega went to hit Green with a 619 but got tangled in the ropes. In an effort to at least leave something on her opponent, she seemingly kicked out her foot, catching Green in the face. The challenger’s nose was immediately covered in blood, and she was quickly dispatched by an avalanche Code Red.
Chelsea Green Suffers Broken Nose
In a post on social media after the show, Green appeared to confirm that Vega had broken her nose while trying to rescue her 619 attempt. Despite the nasty-looking injury, she remains confident that big things are on the way as she never stays down for long.
Me tonight !!! It’s absolutely INSANE!!! I was like “Whaaat just happened?!” The ref turns to me and I thought he said “You won” but he said “Your nose is broken” and I was like “WHAT” and he said “Your nose is broken” !!!! and I was like “WAIT—EXCUSE ME?!”
I’m not even mad though. Well, I am mad, but it’s the kind of mad where you have to laugh because you KNOW you were robbed !!! And I was like… IS THIS REAL LIFE OR AM I ON A HIDDEN CAMERA SHOW ???
I literally turned to the ref and said “You’re kidding me right?” but no, apparently not. He said “You have to go to medical because your nose is broken” It’s okay though because BIIIG things are coming… and y’all know I’m never down for long !!! Stay tuned !!!
P.S. Thinking about bangs !!! P.P.S My nose really hurts !!!
Elsewhere on the show, Logan Paul came up short in his bid to become World Champion thanks to some late drama involving Cody Rhodes. Jey Uso had been on course to retain the World Heavyweight Championship until John Cena got involved. This brought out the returning Rhodes to save the day and the World Title.
