Chelsea Green Lifts Lid On Hollywood Ambitions

Chelsea Green salute WWE

Chelsea Green is looking to go Hollywood.

On December 13, John Cena will wrestle his final match before making a permanent move to Hollywood and into acting. While the star will be following in the footsteps of the likes of The Rock and Dave Bautista, other WWE stars are also looking outside of wrestling.

CM Punk has regularly stated that he wants to work as an actor, while Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns are both set to star in the new live-action Street Fighter movie.

Now one of the most popular female stars has admitted they’re also casting an eye to Hollywood.

Chelsea Green’s Dreams Are Bigger Than Wrestling

In a new interview with Woman’s World, Chelsea Green looked to the future, and a future outside of WWE. The star revealed that she’s already been auditioning for roles as an actor as well as trying to work her way into hosting. She added that she’s determined to climb the ladder the “right way.”

“I’ve been auditioning for role after role, and trying to dabble in the hosting space as well. I’m trying to start at the bottom and not cut corners. I want to do it the right way and gain respect within film and TV—not get there because I had it handed to me on a WWE silver platter.”

Green went on to reveal that she and husband Matt Cardona often spend time with John Cena and his wife, Shay. During these double-dates, Green does her best to learn from Cena and how he’s navigated the jump from WWE to Hollywood.

“My husband and I go on double dates with John and Shay every couple of months, and the knowledge that comes out of him is incredible. He totally has my back, and if I just continue to touch base with him, I’ll continue to get those little bits of information and advice that are so crucial when you’re on this journey of trying to figure out what you want to do next.”

Matt Cardona wrestled his first WWE match since 2020 on the October 14 episode of NXT where he was defeated by Josh Briggs. The former Intercontinental Champion has been open about his desire to return to the company on a full-time basis.
