Charlotte Flair Is Against Unifying Women’s Titles In WWE

When it comes to the Women’s Titles in WWE, Charlotte Flair is glad that they are being kept apart.

Charlotte Flair’s incredible WWE career started about a decade ago. During her journey in WWE that led her to the main roster in the summer of 2015, Charlotte is a former Divas Champion, a six-time Raw Women’s Champion and a seven-time Smackdown Women’s Champion. That number of 14 title wins in WWE doesn’t even count the two NXT Women’s Titles that Charlotte won as well.

At WrestleMania 39, Charlotte Flair will defend her Smackdown Women’s Championship against the 2023 Royal Rumble winner Rhea Ripley. It will be a rematch of their WrestleMania 36 match that Charlotte won to become the NXT Women’s Champion.

In an interview with the Daytona Beach News-Journal to promote her appearance at the Daytona 500 this past Sunday, Charlotte was asked who she would like to have a feud with in the future.

“Well, I’ve never had a program with (Raw Women’s Champion) Bianca (Belair). It would have to be her.”

Since Charlotte Flair is the Smackdown Women’s Champion and Belair is the Raw Women’s Champion, The Queen was asked if she would like to have a title unification rivalry.

“I don’t recommend a unification program because I feel that would mean less opportunities for the women. It was cool for one of the girls to have both titles at one time, but it takes a lot of spots away.”

The comment about “one of the girls to have both titles at one time” was in reference to Becky Lynch winning the Raw & Smackdown Women’s Titles at WrestleMania 35 in 2019 in a triple threat match with Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair.

While speaking about her upcoming match with Ripley, Charlotte Flair has said that she believes their match should be one of the two WrestleMania 39 main events on April 1st or April 2nd.
