Charlotte Flair “Got Through The Door” Due To Nepotism Says Ex-WWE Star
Charlotte Flair is on the way to the seventh WrestleMania of her career where she will put her SmackDown Women’s Championship on the line against Rhea Ripley.
Issues between Flair and Ripley have become more acute in recent weeks as WrestleMania 39 approaches and on Monday Night Raw Ripley had plenty to say about The Queen.
In response, Charlotte Flair appeared on SmackDown and addressed Ripley and also discussed some of the perceptions of herself. Flair admitted to harbouring insecurities. Flair also briefly mentioned former WWE stars The Bellas and Mercedes Mone before addressing the issue of nepotism that has been levelled at her throughout her career given her father is 2-time WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair.
Now speaking on Smack Talk, Dutch Mantell – who has had plenty to say about Ric Flair in recent weeks – thinks that nepotism did get Charlotte Flair through the door of WWE but she’s far from alone in that regard:
“I was thinking about Charlotte Flair’s interview. The three things she mentioned, nepotism, and I’m thinking, well, nepotism did get you through the door, girl. You are my old buddy, Ric Flair’s daughter. Then I’m thinking of Cody Rhodes. Dusty Rhodes got him through the door and look at The Usos. The two Samoans got them through the door. And there was one more I was thinking of…
Well, Roman Reigns is a Samoan too. And there’s got to be one more in there because I had one more. So, don’t say it’s not nepotism, because nepotism is all the way down through the card.”
Any suggestions of nepotism might have not turned out too well for Dominik Mysterio as the young star pushed his father into finally accepting a match with him at WrestleMania 39.
