Charlotte Flair Responds To John Cena Dig

Charlotte Flair on commentary WWE SmackDown

Charlotte Flair has some fighting words for John Cena.

After winning at Elimination Chamber, John Cena quickly set his sights on winning the World Championship one more time he retires. Thanks to his victory, the veteran will get the chance to do just that at WrestleMania when he challenges Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Title.

Crucially for Cena, if he wins, he’ll move past Ric Flair on WWE’s all-time list with 17 World Championship wins.

While trying to embrace his new heel-ish persona on the March 24 edition of Raw, Cena said he plans to ruin wrestling and erase Flair’s name from the history books. However, his daughter has other plans.

Charlotte Flair Vows To Make History

In response to the comments by Cena, Charlotte Flair told The Independent that it’s impossible to erase the Flair name. She added that if Cena breaks her father’s record before she gets the chance, she’ll simply beat his record instead.

“You can’t erase history. History is facts, and if you erase my dad, you erase me. It’s not possible to erase the last name Flair. I plan on breaking my dad’s record, that’s something I want to do and will do. But if John is the first to break it, then I will break John’s record.”

During a recent interview, Ric Flair claimed Charlotte had surpassed both John Cena and Cody Rhodes and had become “the best wrestler in the business.” He added that his daughter is the greatest female wrestler of all time after praising her comeback from the knee injury that kept her out for over a year.

At WrestleMania 41, Charlotte will challenge Tiffany Stratton for the WWE Women’s Title as she looks to become a 15-time Women’s Champion.
