Charlotte Flair Mocks Fans In Response To Tiffany Stratton Segment

Charlotte Flair is leaning into the chaos.

On the April 4 edition of SmackDown, Charlotte Flair and Tiffany Stratton went off script as their promo segment got a little too personal.

The Chicago crowd was quick to make their feelings known, and Flair appeared to lose control as they took over. The pair then began trading increasingly personal insults that were clearly not in the script.

The segment ended with Stratton bailing out of the ring altogether after taking a shot at Flair over her divorce from Andrade.

The promo battle certainly got fans talking, and it’s been reported that there’s heat on both Charlotte Flair and Tiffany Stratton for how everything played out.

Charlotte Flair Hits Back

In a post on social media, Flair said she’d been “blindsided by personal trauma” before taking a jab at the Chicago crowd for their role in the chaos.

After being blindsided by my personal trauma on live television, my character said something on-air that was not true, and I’d like to take this opportunity to clear the air.

I should have NEVER called the Chicago fans smart. I sincerely apologize.

For her part, Tiffany Stratton believes she surprised Charlotte Flair by standing up to her during the segment. The Women’s Champion added that it’s live television and the stakes are high, and no matter what happened fans are now more excited to see their match at WrestleMania.

Meanwhile, the latest update from Fightful Select noted that the “creative direction hasn’t changed” following the segment, and the planned winner will still be standing tall come showtime.
