Charlotte Flair Responds To Latest WWE Controversy

Charlotte Flair on commentary WWE SmackDown

Charlotte Flair has no interest in diving into yet another messy situation.

Since returning at the 2025 Royal Rumble, Charlotte Flair has found herself dogged by one controversy after another.

After returning and winning the Rumble match, Flair chose to face Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton at WrestleMania. However, their feud was quickly hit by claims that Flair was trying to steamroll her rival, and one promo segment infamously went off script as the two women traded increasingly personal insults.

This included Stratton making a jab about Flair’s divorce, something she had publicly acknowledged hurt her deeply just days earlier.

Since then, there’s been talk online of Flair unfollowing Becky Lynch and Nia Jax on social media, while Jax’s comments about the former Women’s Champion at the WrestleMania Roast event have also caused a stir.

Charlotte Flair Looking To Move On

For the first time, Flair has now broken her silence on the whirlwind of rumor and innuendo, writing on social media that she simply wants to wrestle.

IDK. I’m just going to wrestle.

Meanwhile, it’s been reported that Charlotte Flair’s WWE return almost looked very different. Before the decision was made for Flair to win the Rumble and go on to face Stratton, there was a pitch for her team with fellow recently returned star Becky Lynch.

According to the pitch, the pair would have joined forces around the Rumble before going on to face Auska and Iyo Sky during WrestleMania season.

As it turned out, Lynch didn’t return until WrestleMania 41, and Asuka is yet to return from knee surgery.
