Charlotte Flair Makes Heartbreaking Confession About Four Horsewomen Friendship
Charlotte Flair’s success in WWE as a singles competitor is unmatched.
Charlotte, who is the daughter of legendary wrestler Ric Flair, has won the women’s championship 14 times.
While ‘The Queen’ has been credited for the transformation of the women’s division, she’s not the only one.
Becky Lynch, Mercedes Mone (fka Sasha Banks), and Bayley are three other names who revolutionized wrestling for females in the Stamford-based company.
As an ode to ‘The Four Horsemen,’ Ric Flair’s legendary faction, they’ve also been called The Four Horsewomen, coined during their NXT stints around 2015.
All four women have since been on their singular journeys, with Mone leaving WWE in 2022. She is currently signed with AEW.
The talents surely share deep respect for one another, but as one would hope them to be great friends, that is not the case, which has been revealed across various personal interviews.
The now-infamous title swap segment between Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch in 2021 hinted at tensions between them.
Charlotte Flair’s Heartbreaking Confession About The Four Horsewomen
Charlotte Flair wrote a candid piece in the Players’ Tribune, detailing her wrestling journey, while also writing about the Four Horsewomen.
Flair admitted to them not being friends or even pretending to be friends.
We’ve definitely had our ups and downs over the years. I won’t pretend we’re best friends…… or that we’re all even friends at the moment. I won’t pretend there’s a 4HW group chat I’ll send this article to when it publishes. And thinking about it that way, it does make me sad sometimes.
Nevertheless, she maintained that the women carry a great deal of respect for one another and their contributions towards women’s wrestling.
The respect between the four of us is absolute — and the bonds we share are f***ing indestructible. There’s not another person alive who knows what we’ve been through as a group, or what it’s taken for us to all still be active, and to all still be at the top of our games, as women working in a business that’s still learning how to treat women.
Charlotte Flair is currently involved in a tag team storyline with Alexa Bliss. Becky Lynch and Bayley, meanwhile, are in a three-way feud with Lyra Valkyria.
