Charlotte Flair Doesn’t Know If WWE Event Will Return

Charlotte Flair isn’t giving anything away.

On March 27, it was reported that WWE is planning to bring back its all-female Premium Live Event, Evolution. According to the report, the event will return on July 5, and an official announcement will be made before WrestleMania 41.

To date, there’s been just one Evolution event, and that took place in 2018 with a card packed with a mix of legends and present-day stars.

A Last Woman Standing Match between SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair, and the Raw Women’s Title match between Ronda Rousey and Nikki Bella took the headline spots, and the likes of Trish Stratus, Mickie James, Lita, and Bayley were also involved.

Charlotte Flair Wants To Make Magic

In a new interview with Alex McCarthy for the Daily Mail, Flair was asked about the prospect of Evolution 2 and admitted that while she’s got fond memories of the first one, she doesn’t know if there’ll be a second.

“One of my favourite matches is from the first evolution. Becky Lynch, last woman standing. One of my top three favourite matches. There’s always rumours that it’s happening, so until it happens, I can’t say yet because we don’t know. Y’all are the ones with the scoop!

No, I mean, I think it’d be great if we have it. But I still think the goal is to have more main events and more storylines and so on. The magic that I created on the first one, if it comes to fruition, I look forward to creating more magic on Evolution 2.”

Elsewhere during the conversation, Charlotte Flair looked back on receiving a mixed reaction from fans when she made her latest comeback. At the Royal Rumble, Flair wrestled for the first time in over a year and ultimately won the women’s Rumble match.

Although Flair was cheered on the night, she was heavily booed during her next appearance. Reflecting on this aspect of her return, Flair claimed she’s now above being a babyface or a heel, instead, she’s the “be-all and end-all of women’s wrestling.”

Thanks to her win at the Rumble, Flair will challenge Tiffany Stratton for the Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 41.
