Charlotte Flair Devastated By WWE Star’s Very Personal Dig

Charlotte Flair

Charlotte Flair has admitted a very personal dig aimed at her real-life from a WWE star left her upset.

On the April 4 edition of SmackDown, Charlotte Flair and Tiffany Stratton went off script as their promo segment got a little too personal.

The Chicago crowd was quick to make their feelings known, and Flair appeared to lose control as they took over. The pair then began trading increasingly personal insults that were clearly not in the script.

This saw Flair mock Stratton’s voice, and in closing, Stratton took a shot at Flair over her recent divorce from Andrade, noting that Flair was now “0-3” in marriages and abruptly left the ring. As Stratton left, Flair tried to get even, firing back, “Hey Tiffany, is that why Kaiser is in my DMs?” referencing her real-life relationship with Ludwig Kaiser.

Charlotte Flair Mocked For “Devastating” Divorce

Writing in The Player’s Tribune about the promo with Stratton, Charlotte Flair admitted the “0-3” comment left her feeling very hurt:

I think in those times when people have seen me appear rattled by the booing, those are just the times when I’ve felt like — at least for a moment — the boos aren’t for Charlotte. They’re for Ashley. They’re for me. They’re because of the way I look. Or because of the energy I’m giving off as a woman. Or because of real trauma I’ve gone through in real life. So when it got mentioned in Chicago that I have an “0–3 record at marriages” … yeah, it rocked me legit.

I’m not too proud to tell you that. I don’t need everyone thinking I’m playing 5-D chess all of the time. My reaction to that line was as genuine as it gets. Because — and maybe this makes me naive — in my head?? Charlotte hasn’t been divorced. So I wasn’t expecting it to come up in that promo….. and then all of a sudden I had an entire arena cheering as I got mocked for something that was (and frankly still is) devastating to me.

Charlotte Flair will challenge for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship at Evolution, where she’ll team with Alexa Bliss in a fatal four-way match.
