Charlotte Flair Has To Clear One Last Injury Hurdle

Charlotte Flair

Charlotte Flair wants to keep moving forward.

During a match on SmackDown with Asuka in December 2023, Charlotte Flair suffered a torn ACL, MCL, and meniscus and quickly underwent surgery.

At the time, it was reported that Flair would be out of action for around nine months, but in reality, she didn’t return to the ring until the 2025 Royal Rumble on February 1.

Since resuming her career, Flair has worn a chunky knee brace, but it seems that might not be forever. During an interview with Men’s Health, she said that while she’s been able to adapt the brace to fit her gear, she’s looking to wrestle without it.

“The only thing is I still am in my brace. I don’t even know if I’m still in that time period. I know we are required to wear, oh my gosh, I’m going to forget the name, the Don Joy. I hope I’m saying that right. Mine’s bedazzled, so it doesn’t matter. Mine is crystal. My stylist crystalized it for me because we’re like, ‘oh, this knee brace is ugly. It doesn’t go with my outfit.’ Do I need to be in it? I don’t know. So that I think is my next, my next hurdle.”

Charlotte Flair Facing Uncertain Future

Speaking elsewhere, Charlotte Flair admitted that she doesn’t know what WWE has in store for her in 2026. The star said that while in the past she’s always been striving for perfection and pushing for championship gold, her recent shift in perspective has left her without a concrete plan.

Her only goal is to continue to improve and develop as a performer. However, she was quick to deny any suggestions that her motivation and desire to compete had dipped.
