Charlotte Flair Casts Doubt On 2026 WWE Plans
Charlotte Flair doesn’t know what’s next.
In the weeks after WrestleMania 41, Charlotte Flair had lost her way, but Alexa Bliss offered her a different path and a new direction. Although Flair initially tried to keep her distance, the more the pair teamed together, the better they gelled and the more successful they were, all leading to winning the Women’s Tag Team Championship.
That partnership has also allowed her to showcase a different side to her character and move away from the guarded and often cold championship-winning machine.
Flair was most recently in action at Survivor Series, where she teamed with Bliss, AJ Lee, Rhea Ripley, and Iyo Sky to beat Becky Lynch, Asuka, Kairi Sane, Nia Jax, and Lash Legend inside WarGames.
Charlotte Flair Denies Losing Motivation
During an appearance on the Survivor Series: WarGames Recap podcast, Flair was asked about her goals for the future with 2026 on the horizon. Rather than naming targets and immediately shooting for championship gold as she has in years past, Flair candidly admitted that she doesn’t know what’s next.
“I think for the last couple years of my career, and what I’ve wanted… I’ve been struggling to feel like I needed control, and meaning I thought I had a vision for myself and what I needed to do and what I needed to be and what title I needed to hold or how I needed to be in the title picture. What character or what dominance I needed to be in the title scene.
I don’t know what the future holds for me, honestly. Whether that’s winning again with Lexi (Alexa Bliss), whether that’s winning an opportunity to face Jade (Cargill), or even Stephanie (Vaquer). I don’t know. I just wanna be better. People don’t get this but, like, just because you’ve accomplished so much, you don’t lose that hunger.
Bayley texted me tonight. We have this nickname, she said the nickname and she was like, ‘Good job. I’m so proud…’ I don’t know what (WrestleMania 42) looks like for me. I’ve never pictured myself here today, eight months ago, seven months ago. I was so lost, so I don’t know.
If I get put back in the title scene, then, I’m just gonna give it the best I got I guess… I don’t have something that I want. I think I always wanted certain things where this is just kind of taking me on this journey.”
Despite her own uncertainty, Charlotte Flair is heavily featured in a new promo package for WrestleMania 42.
