Charlotte Flair On Becky Lynch: “Two Alphas Who Don’t See Eye-To-Eye”

Charlotte Flair was best friends with Becky Lynch, but over time the friendship has fallen apart and now the former WWE Women’s Champion has opened up on where things stand between the two future Hall of Famers.

During their days in NXT together, Flair and Lynch were often together as best friends that were learning in WWE’s developmental system. They were both called to the main roster at the same time in 2015. They are also part of a group known as the Four Horsewomen in WWE along with Sasha Banks and Bayley.

Flair and Lynch have both had a lot of success in WWE, but their friendship has fallen apart due to numerous issues over the years. Following the WWE Draft in 2021, they had a title exchange segment where they couldn’t even hand over titles to each other without an issue.

The relationship between Flair and Lynch has gotten so bad that when Lynch was a guest on Broken Skull Sessions with Steve Austin and was asked about Flair, Lynch called her an “a**hole.”

Steve Austin welcomed Flair on the Broken Skull Sessions show that’s available on Peacock/WWE Network. During their discussion, Flair spoke about how things are with Lynch now.

“You have two women who want to be the best. There’s no other way to put it. I want to be the best. She wants to be the best. Natural courses of life. She got married and had a baby. I met Manny [Andrade El Idolo] on the road. Maybe we were each other’s crutches at one point.”

“But now, she wants to be the best. I want to be the best. You have two alphas who don’t see eye-to-eye. We grew up together on TV, and you see that. People didn’t know how close we were.”

During Charlotte’s 1 hour, 20-minute conversation with Austin, she also shared her thoughts on fellow WWE Superstars Sasha Banks and Naomi walking out of WWE earlier this year.
