Charlotte Flair Pairing With Alexa Bliss Has WWE Hall Of Famer Believing
A WWE Hall of Famer has made a bold statement about what the pairing with Alexa Bliss has done for Charlotte Flair’s career.
When Charlotte Flair won the Women’s Royal Rumble for the second time in 2025, she did so after missing over a year of action due to major knee surgery.
Often, when a wrestler returns from a year-long injury to win something big, they are cheered by the fans. However, when it comes to Flair, she wasn’t shown that kind of love, and many fans wanted to boo her due to her long history as a heel performer.
At WrestleMania 41, Charlotte Flair was in full heel mode for her match with WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton. Flair failed to win the gold and was in a rough spot, but since then she has thrived.
Flair was put in a storyline where her fellow wrestling veteran Alexa Bliss suggested that they work together. The two women started in NXT together in the early 2010s, got called up to the main roster around the same time a decade ago, and both of them are future Hall of Famers with incredible legacies to be proud of.
The “friend or not a friend” story between Flair and Bliss progressed to the point where the duo won the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles together at SummerSlam. After getting booed earlier this year, Flair is now cheered thanks to her buddy Bliss, and it looks like the duo has a bright future together.
Charlotte Flair Pairing With Alexa Bliss May Be Best Thing For Flair’s Career Ever
WWE Hall of Famer Bubba Ray Dudley (aka Bully Ray) recently spoke about Flair on the Busted Open Radio show that he co-hosts. According to Bubba, the pairing of Flair with Bliss might be the best thing Flair’s done in her career.
“I think this is the best thing maybe ever to happen to Charlotte in her career. We are now looking at Charlotte in a completely different light. She’s vulnerable. She’s becoming likable through her vulnerability. She’s paired up, she’s sharing the spotlight with a character and a woman that the universe loves. It’s time to keep Charlotte Flair away from the championship for a while.
And when will the time be right for Charlotte to be back in the Championship picture? When the fans start clamoring for Charlotte. When you find a woman that is so unstoppable that nobody can overcome that you got to pick up the bat phone and call Charlotte Flair.”
Bubba suggested that perhaps Flair should dress less extravagantly in the future.
“Even dressing down in a certain way, I think will help Charlotte. I’m a big fan of Charlotte Flair personally and professionally, and I’m enjoying this run from her.”
Since Flair and Bliss are the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, it means they can appear on any brand at any time, just like they did this past Monday on Raw.
