Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss Successfully Defend Title On WWE SmackDown

Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss have scored another major victory on WWE SmackDown.

The Queen and The Goddess captured the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship at SummerSlam last August. They have since defended the titles against The Judgment Day’s Raquel Rodriguez & Roxanne Perez, NXT’s Izzi Dame & Tatum Paxley, and Alba Fyre & Chelsea Green.

Over the past couple of weeks, NXT Women’s North American Champion Sol Ruca and Zaria have had backstage interactions with Flair and Bliss, challenging them for the Women’s Tag Team Title.

Another Successful Title Defense For The WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions

Tonight on SmackDown, The Queen and The Goddess put the championship on the line against the two NXT stars. During the match, Blake Monroe, who sat in the front row, distracted Ruca, allowing Flair to capitalize and get the victory for her and Alexa Bliss.

Charlotte Flair has previously addressed her alliance with Bliss in an interview with the Nightcap podcast. The Queen disclosed that although she prefers to work solo, she did not mind sharing the spotlight with The Goddess.

Personally, I like solo. I don’t like sharing the spotlight, but I am in a tag team with the one person I don’t mind sharing the spotlight with, and that’s Alexa Bliss. And I’m having so much fun. She’s great. She brings out definitely a different side of my character for TV, so it’s great.
