WWE Champion Tipped To Face John Cena At Survivor Series

John Cena WWE cant see me
John Cena is scheduled to face AJ Styles at Crown Jewel, which will take place at the RAC Arena in Perth, Western Australia, Australia, on October 11, 2025.
Earlier, the Stamford-based promotion had decided not to include The Phenomenal One in Cena’s farewell tour because of the limited number of dates The Last Real Champion had. But the WWE Universe forced WWE to make it happen. The announcement wasn’t made on a weekly show while the two stars cut a dramatic promo; rather, it was made public by Triple H on X via a simple tweet.
Recent reports suggest WWE is planning to book the Intercontinental Championship Dominik Mysterio against Big Match John after Crown Jewel. If the match happens and John Cena beats Mysterio for his title, it will be his first IC title victory in WWE, and thus, he’ll finally become a Grand Slam Champion in the company. However, WWE hasn’t confirmed this match-up yet.

Dominik Mysterio vs. John Cena at Survivor Series Would Be “Awesome”

Dominik Mysterio is one of the, if not the, ultimate heels in WWE. Pitching him against the OG babyface of the company would be a storyline gold. Speaking on his podcast, Rosenberg Wrestling, Peter Posenberg stated he would love to see the two stars face each other at Survivor Series on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at Petco Park in San Diego, California.
I agree that it doesn’t need to be new blood, and we don’t need to force it. But can we also say that if you’re going to do that, make it cool and meaningful, and Cena and Dom would be awesome. Like, I think of things that exist.
The number one hated new heel against Cena would be amazing, particularly as we have Survivor Series sitting in San Diego, where the crowd wouldn’t know what to do with heel Mysterio. That wouldn’t be awesome. Dip. Heel Mysterio and Cena at Survivor Series. That’s a thing. (From 24:44)
