Chad Gable is staying in WWE long-term and he credits Triple H as a big reason why he will be there.

It was in November 2013 when former Olympic wrestler Chad Gable signed a WWE contract. After spending over a decade in WWE, Gable has had success as a tag team wrestler with three title reigns on the main roster with three different partners: Jason Jordan, Bobby Roode, and Otis.

Over the last year, Gable has had his eyes on the Intercontinental Title, which led to multiple title shots against the longest-reigning IC Champion in WWE history, GUNTHER. Gable came close to beating GUNTHER, but he couldn’t do it.

After Sami Zayn beat GUNTHER for the Intercontinental Title at WrestleMania 40, Gable challenged Zayn and lost. That led to Gable turning heel on his friend Sami and it has set up for his second straight PLE with an Intercontinental Title shot.

There have been a lot of questions about Chad Gable’s future of late due to reports of an expiring contract. The good news for WWE fans of Gable is that the leader of the Alpha Academy has confirmed that he has signed a new contract.

Chad Gable Credits Triple H For Career Success

In an interview with The Gorilla Position, Gable spoke about signing a new deal with WWE while also praising the company’s Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque, who has done a phenomenal job of booking Gable as a singles star on the Raw brand.

“Yes, I have (signed a new contract). What I’ll say, regarding Hunter [Triple H]. When he got started with us and took over. I think you saw my trajectory change almost immediately. Even when I was in a tag team with Otis, I started getting singles matches with some of our top guys. To me, a light bulb went off, ‘things might be different now,’ and they have been ever since. He’s delivered on everything he’s ever told me.”

“When I first came to him, and me and Otis were floundering and not doing much, he said what he was doing was trying to find consistent places on TV for everybody every week. Whether it was a little chunk of TV or a big one; everyone should be involved at some point.”

“At the time, I was like, ‘I’ve heard all this before,’ and it gets to you, but I saw it was true, and it was delivered. Even if we only had a minute or two every week, we were getting it and we were involved in something and maximizing our minutes. The fact that he delivers on what he says, it has gone a long way with someone like me. Now, that’s paying off and I’m having the run of my life and I’m having a blast.”

At WWE Clash at the Castle on June 15th, Chad Gable faces Sami Zayn for the Intercontinental Title. In the weeks leading up to the match, Gable has berated his best friend Otis while Zayn has encouraged Otis to stop listening to Gable and listen to the fans supporting Otis.
