Chad Gable Is The “Rebirth” Of Kurt Angle

Kurt Angle is a huge fan of Chad Gable.

On the April 15th episode of Raw, Chad Gable turned heel with a vicious assault on Intercontinental Champion Sami Zayn. The character twist has given Gable a new life as he talks up his ability as a pure wrestler and righteous personality.

Gable’s new character has echoes of Kurt Angle’s famous WWE run which saw him establish himself as one of the best performers in the world.

During an episode of The Kurt Angle Show, the WWE legend pointed to the parallels between the two characters.

“Well listen, the Kurt Angle formula worked the first time, the Kurt Angle formula will work today. I have noticed, I’ve been watching Chad and he’s doing a lot of actions that Kurt Angle used to do,” said Angle.

“Different characteristics, different facial expressions, taking off the singlet before he does his finish, he’s been doing the Angle Slam [and] the Ankle Lock, so I feel like this is a rebirth of Kurt Angle. I’ll tell you this, he’s doing a great job of it, too. He has really stepped up and I don’t know if I could have done it any better than him. He’s doing really good right now.”

Kurt Angle Still Earning Praise Long After Retirement

Despite being long retired, Kurt Angle continues to earn praise from the stars of today.

During a recent Twitch stream, Kenny Omega discussed his admiration for the WWE Hall of Famer, calling him the “most complete wrestler of all time.” Despite his own lofty standing in the industry, Omega said he still studies Angle, adding that he’s his favourite wrestler.
