Cash Wheeler To Appear On AEW Collision

FTR AEW Cash Wheeler Dax Harwood

Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood are set to appear live on AEW Collision.

While the idea of the AEW Tag Team Champions appearing live on a show just days before their bout at the biggest wrestling show of all time would not normally be noteworthy, recent events mean that it very much is.

It was reported on August 18th that Cash Wheeler (real name Daniel Wheeler) had been arrested on charges of aggravated assault with a firearm. The alleged incident took place on July 27th. According to a police report, Wheeler’s alleged victim claims that the star was “pointing a black semi-automatic handgun out of the driver’s window at him with a strong stare.” The alleged victim stated that he “feared for his life.”

Wheeler has pled not guilty to the charge and has requested a jury trial. Due to the nature of the events, many had wondered what this means for his AEW status and if he’d still be part of All In which takes place in London, England in just 8 days.

AEW advertising Cash Wheeler before All In

AEW World Champion MJF took to social media to defend Cash Wheeler and noted that the FTR vs. The Young Bucks match at All In would still be taking place. The court has not made Wheeler surrender his passport and there have been no travel restrictions placed on him.

Now AEW has apparently made clear its current stance on Wheeler with him and tag team partner Dax Harwood advertised to appear on the Fight for the Fallen edition of Collision on August 19th. That announcement came on Rampage, which had been pre-taped but aired on the day that the legal difficulties of Wheeler came to light.
