Carlito Teases Joining Major AEW Faction After WWE Exit
Carlito was recently released from WWE.
While the fans and the wrestling community were still reeling from the departure of R-Truth, the Cuban wrestler’s release only added salt to their wounds.
The 46-year-old was making steady appearances on the Raw brand and was the comic relief of the Judgment Day faction.
The news obviously came as a surprise to the faction members, who paid tribute to the former WWE wrestler in their own way. In a Raw backstage segment, Dominik Mysterio was seen wearing a Carlito jersey.
The apple-spitting wrestler last competed on the April 18 SmackDown episode in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal.
Carlito Contemplates Joining AEW Faction
It’s only been 48 hours since the company released Carlito, but he may have already found his new faction in the rival brand.
Former WWE wrestler Shelton Benjamin shared a picture of himself with the Cuban star, captioned “Hey Briz, Nice suit. Hmmmmmm🤔.”
He was quick to respond to the post with a ‘thinking face’ emoji.

This sparked speculations among fans about him joining The Hurt Syndicate, which is an active AEW faction with Benjamin in it. Both wrestlers were previously members of The Hurt Business in WWE.
