Bryan Danielson Calls Non-Wrestling WWE Segment A Career Highlight

Bryan Danielson is reflecting on his career in pro wrestling by recalling a fun WWE segment he was a part of.

Since Bryan Danielson is putting his career on the line at AEW All In taking place at London’s Wembley Stadium, he has spent some time on his legendary career.

There have been several interesting chapters in Danielson’s wrestling career since he spent about a decade on the indies, which included being arguably the best ROH wrestler ever, before becoming a WWE guy in 2010.

After spending 11 years as part of WWE (using the name Daniel Bryan) including five WWE World Championship reigns, he has been in AEW for the last three years where he has had a run of incredible matches.

Going into AEW All In, Bryan Danielson has said his body is broken down and he’s ready to retire after 25 years in the pro wrestling business.

While talking to Metro about his career, Danielson spoke about how main eventing WrestleMania 30 in 2014 in a moment that ended with Bryan celebrating as the WWE World Champion isn’t his career highlight, but a hugging segment with Kane is.

“People think, “What would you be the most proud of in WWE? WrestleMania 30.”

“One of the things I’m most proud of is I did a 10-minute live segment on Raw with Kane where we were attempting to hug each other. And it lasted over 10 minutes, and there’s two grown men just trying to hug each other.

“So yes, I love the AEW style, I’m very sporting, but I also love the absurdity of two grown men trying to hug each other for 10 minutes and not quite knowing how to do it.’”

The Team Hell No run was awkward at first, but it also turned Daniel Bryan from a heel to a babyface and he ended up getting along with Kane as the two men became Tag Team Champions together.

Bryan Danielson Called The “Heart And Soul” Of AEW

Matt Hardy spent four years in AEW before departing earlier this year when his contract expired. While talking about Danielson’s potential retirement, Hardy explained why Bryan is the “heart of soul” of AEW.

“Swerve had a hell of a run. Swerve had a really nice run as champion, but it is time for the American Dragon. It is time for Bryan Danielson to win the AEW world title. It’s really fitting.

I mean, I think if you would ask Tony Khan who is his true right hand man, who does he believe in and trust in more than anyone else, who would he take advice from? It would be Bryan Danielson. He has really been like a heart and soul when it comes to AEW.

Hardy went on to say that he thinks Danielson is worthy of an AEW World Title run.
