Bryan Danielson Reacts To Winning AEW World Title And His Wrestling Future

Bryan Danielson

Bryan Danielson has expressed what winning the AEW World Title means to him.

In the main event of AEW All In London 2024, Bryan Danielson put his career on the line against the AEW World Championship held by Swerve Strickland.

For many people, especially Bryan himself, it was an emotional night because his 25-year run as a pro wrestler was on the line if he lost that match.

The two men ended up having an incredible match that brought the Wembley Stadium crowd to their feet many times. Swerve came close to putting a bloody Danielson away many times, but he wasn’t able to do it.

Danielson knocked Swerve multiple times with the running Busaiko Knee attack followed by the LeBell Lock submission move. When Swerve looked like he would get out of it, Bryan pulled back on both arms and Swerve was forced to tap out to give Bryan the AEW World Title.

That AEW World Title win was made even sweeter for Danielson because his wife Brie along with their daughter Birdie and young son Buddy were at ringside watching the match. After it was over, the family went into the ring with Bryan to celebrate with the AEW World TItle. The excitable young man Buddy was full of energy chasing some of the confetti in the ring as well.

Following AEW All In London at the post-show press conference, Bryan Danielson said it was his favorite moment in wrestling because his kids were there to see it.

“I feel pretty great. People ask me all the time what my favorite moment is in wrestling, and I can never give them one answer because I’ve loved all of it. But this is the first time she [Birdie] remembers seeing me wrestle live. This is the first time my son’s seen me wrestle live. And without a doubt, this was my favorite moment in my entire career.”

Bryan Danielson Confirms He Will Be At AEW Dynamite

On the road to All In, Bryan Danielson has said his body was broken down and he was ready to retire after 25 years in the pro wrestling business. There have also been reports about how there were serious concerns about his health.

Now that Danielson is the AEW World Champion for the first time in his three-year run with the company, it’s likely that he’ll keep wrestling. Bryan addressed that as well although he claims he didn’t think about the future much.

“So I honestly haven’t thought at all about my future past tonight. [laughs] So I don’t know what’s going to happen. But I’ll be there in Champaign, Illinois on Wednesday. And between now and then, we’ll figure it out and I’m sure I’ll have an announcement then.”

That means fans of AEW and Danielson will have to keep watching to see what he has to say on Dynamite as he kicks off his AEW World Championship reign.
